Dr. Andrew Kary
General Dentist
Originally from central Maine, Dr. Kary is an alumnus of the New York University College of Dentistry and the University of Colorado College of Engineering. He brings a wealth of expertise to Dental Town DC, honed with years of both military and private dental practice.
During his tenure in the Army Dental Corps, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Lewis, followed by an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center. After six years in the Army as an Advanced Clinical Practice General Dentist, he, his wife, and three children moved back east to put down roots in Washington DC.
Dr. Kary’s passion is applying modern techniques and technologies to help patients build beautiful, healthy smiles. Dr. Kary is skilled in the full breadth of dentistry, with special interests in endodontics and digitally-designed surgeries and prosthetics. His postgraduate training and practice include Invisalign, cone-beam computed tomography imaging, computer-aided design and manufacturing, dental sleep medicine, minimal sedation, molar endodontics, surgical exodontia, dental implants including both fixed and removable full-arch implant prostheses (e.g. “All-on-4”), and guided tissue regeneration. He provides an individualized and caring, yet comprehensive and state-of-the-art approach to dental care.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Kary enjoys 3D printing, photography, electronics, and bicycling. On the weekends, you can find him at a park with the kids, rain or shine.
